Representative Jared Solomon presented a $10,000 check to Legacy Youth Tennis, Youth Non-Profit

Today, State Representative Solomon presented a $10,000 donation to Legacy Youth Tennis at Max Myers Recreation Center in Lower Northeast Philadelphia.

Solomon issued this statement: “I am proud to support organizations delivering quality after school and extracurricular programs to youth in our city. Before taking office in 2017, I spent 10 years building a 500 person strong community organization and partnering with organizations like Legacy Youth Tennis to bring much needed supplemental educational youth programming to my community. The Lower Northeast is now one of the most diverse areas of the city. Many young families rely on programs such as Legacy Youth Tennis. During my campaign, I made it a priority to continue bringing more after school and summer programs to the Northeast. Today I am pleased to be able to deliver on this promise.”

Legacy Youth Tennis provides high quality tennis instruction by experienced instructors, educational programming, and positive opportunities to more than 3,500 children annually, most of whom participate at little or no cost.

In attendance:

State Representative Jared Solomon

Ron Nano - President and CEO of Legacy Youth Tennis

David Broida - Board Member of Legacy Youth Tennis

Derrick Billups, Senior. Director of Community Programs for Legacy Youth Tennis

Alumni and participants of Legacy Youth Tennis programs
