The Philadelphia Citizen Op-Ed: TIME TO SAY ENOUGH TO CORRUPTION



In spring of 2019, Representative Solomon spoke out against the corruption in our city and how it holds us back. He took on the Henon/Dougherty joint venture that is dedicated to the powerful not the people. Here we are, two years later, awaiting trial and justice for those 116 indictment charges of fraud and Dougherty is arrested again on 19 different charges of conspiracy and extortion. These are all allegations and the defendants will have their day in court. But the people of Philadelphia need a day when they are heard; when we address poverty, racial injustice, and the quality of life issues that plague our city.
